Earning (and its determinants)

While people often say to ‘follow your passions,’ which is definitely important, one must be practical and note that certain career opportunities offer far more potential for earning than others.

For example, even if you are amazing at drawing, you are probably not going to make a comfortable living as an artist, statistically speaking. According to CAI, more than 85% of artists make less than $25.000 a year, which is in the 20th percentile.

That being said, your passions can also lead you to a fulfilling and rewarding career, so one should find a balance between practicality and passion pursuit.
