Movement along the Supply Curve: A movement along the supply curve occurs due to a change in price. The change in the amount of a good or service that is supplied is known as a change in the quantity supplied of that good or service. A movement down the supply curve is known as a decrease in the quantity supplied, while a movement up the supply curve is known as an increase in the quantity supplied.
