There are two main approaches to calculating GDP: the expenditure approach and the income approach. The expenditure approach calculates GDP by summing up consumer spending, investment, government spending, and net exports (exports minus imports). The income approach, on the other hand, calculates GDP by adding up all the income earned by individuals, businesses, and the government within the country.
